Please be advised that between 18:00 & 18:30 on Tuesday 29 July there will be an emergency change to the ICS. The outage period is expected to only last 5 minutes. Clients logged into the Customs Interactive will have their session terminated for a short period which will require users to log back in. EDI messaging will not be affected by this outage.

Please be advised that there are currently connectivity problems between DAFF (Department of Agriculture) and Australian Customs & Border Protection. Users may experience delays in the normal process of clearing AQIS holds. Where AQIS status(Department of Agriculture) has not cleared as expected please contact the following for Urgent Clearances:

Please be aware that the urgent maintenance on the ICS reporting databases will NOT effect external clients lodging any reports into the ICS.
The unscheduled outage is required to upgrade ICS internal reporting functionality. There may be some disruption to users wishing to extract reports from the ICS. The outage will be for the following times:
Saturday 19 July 09:00 until Sunday 20 July 08:00.
Previously advertised messaging delays will now not be occurring as part of this outage.

ACN 2014/27 - TARIFF DUTY RATE CHANGES FROM 1 JULY 2014

From 1 July 2014 the following changes will occur:

. the excise-equivalent customs duty rates will increase for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG);
. the levy payable under the PSO scheme for new and recycled petroleum based oils and greases and their synthetic equivalents will increase; and
. the carbon component rate on aviation fuel will increase.

Further information is available from ACN 2014/27. These changes will be reflected in the tariff working pages.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FEE SCHEDULE CHANGES 1 JULY 2014

The Department of Agriculture is implementing new rates of charge for a number of biosecurity services related to import permits, declarations and container clearances. Accordingly the ICS has been updated to reflect the new rates effective from 1 July 2014.

ACN 2014/26 - LUXURY CAR TAX THRESHOLD CHANGES

There will be an increase in the luxury car tax (LCT) threshold limit for the 2014-15 financial year.

The Australian Taxation Office has determined that from 1 July 2014 the following are effective:
- LCT Threshold $61,884 (increased from $60,316)
- Fuel efficient vehicle limit $75,375 (unchanged)

The new rates will be reflected in the ICS from Tuesday 1 July 2014.
